Cartographer:
Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map.
- Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
- Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
- Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
- Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
- Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
- Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
- Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
- Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
- Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Gatherer:
Gatherer is an addon for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters in World of Warcraft. It's main purpose is to track the closest plants, deposits and treasure locations on your minimap.
This AddOn also has the capability to share node gathers between online guild members automatically. If you have a gathering profession get this addon.

VanasKoS:
Vanas KoS is a Kill-on-Sight notifier, that uses every possibility, to detect near KoS targets, and notifies the User in different ways. Additionally it records PvP-Stats in outdoor PvP and shows these in the tooltip (configurable).

There are two main contenders for Questing AddOns. Which one you would like is entirely up to your personal preferences.
QuestHelper:

It includes a database of quests, monsters, and items, telling you the exact location of that dang Perfect Satyr Horn you can't find. It also computes the fastest path to complete all your quests - and gain experience - as quickly as possible.

Carbonite:
Carbonite Quest is a full quest database, enhanced quest watch list, HUD Arrow and cool movable, scrolling, zooming Google like world map that makes questing easy.

Those are all the "Highly Recommended AddOns." The following AddOns are much more personal and might not be worthwhile to some players. Feel free to submit additions to this list on the forums.
Bagnon - Displays all your bags in one scalable window.
Combuctor - Another bag addon but this one includes cool item filters that makes finding stuff much easier.
Bartender 4 - Completely replaces the default Blizzard action bars with fully customizable bars.
Dominos - Another Action Bar replacement addon similar to Bartender 4.
Mik Scrolling Battle Text - Replaces the default battle text (damage, healing, etc.) wiht customizable text that displays in user defined scroll areas.
Titan Panel - Titan Panel adds a control panel bar on the top and/or bottom of the screen and allows a framework for extensive plugin support.
Advanced Tradeskill Window - Replaces the default tradeskill window with a more detailed version that includes a production queue.
Talented - Replaces the default Talent window with one that displays all three trees simultaneously and adds many nice features including templates.
RatingBuster - Converts combat ratings in your tooltips into percentages, so that you have more meaningful information when comparing different items.
